Our Altar Servers and Masters of Ceremonies assist the priest for our various Liturgical Celebrations. Children starting in the 4th grade and up are invited to assist the priest, serving God on the Altar during Holy Mass.
Altar Servers As an altar server you have the privilege of taking part in the Holy Mass, but most importantly being on the altar during the consecration of our Lord in the Eucharist. What a beautiful sacrament of our church. The only requirements are reverence and devotion, everything else is “on the job training.” Introductory classes are held as needed during the year. All Altar Servers are required to attend an introductory class before they can begin serving.
Master of Ceremonies (MC) The purpose of the Master of Ceremonies is to oversee all aspects of the Mass, assist the celebrant, and to guide altar servers. MC’s are trained in all altar server duties. This ministry is open to person’s high school age to adult who are registered parishioners and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
